Who AM I?
The earth, the sky, the cosmic eye and galactic one are all sources of inspiration. I create individual pieces from timber I find along the way, bringing tranquility to an over active mind and joy to a once hardened heart. I mainly use felled trees or those that have fallen naturally here in North Wales. Oak, Ash, Beach and Cherry are the main species i have been using so far. I like to work with crystals and will often include Quartz, Obsidian, Fluorite and Emeralds in my woodwork and my jewellery, occasionally combined with copper. I also get called to paint every once in a while and intend on bringing some of my paintings to print soon .
Most of my creations magically appear. I usually have no fixed idea as to the outcome of each piece. When I work with wood, especially on the lathe I become water. Going with the flow and following the path of least resistance, I am at peace. This path often has unexpected outcomes, some are to learn by, others are to admire, all are things of beauty. My aim is to create something that has beauty in it and that can continue giving beauty to others once we have parted company. This is a thought that brings me joy.
